Project description

In the Creative_Circle project, a co-creative development and implementation of an energy transition cycle in Eisenstadt takes place. The underlying idea is to set up the energy economy in the project area in as many aspects as possible as a circular economy with local renewable resources (keyword PV offensive).

This will be an essential step towards a CO2-neutral energy supply for the city.

Around this energy transition cycle, new business models are developed for all stakeholders in a co-creative, open innovation process.

The implementation of the energy transition cycle is supported by accompanying measures of awareness raising and climate change adaptation. The focus is on the creation of a multifunctional as well as environmentally friendly Cooling Center in an existing building in the urban area, which offers all population groups a cool place for protection in extreme heat free of charge. This Cooling Center also functions as the social nucleus of the project, where citizens can be informed, create ideas, and implement sharing concepts. To ensure improved accessibility, the Cooling Center will be spatially connected to a mobility hub that will provide citizens with a choice of different sustainable mobility options.

In order to round off the Eisenstadt energy transition cycle, aspects of energy space planning are taken into account for both the energy sector and mobility.
