Project description
E&C Toolbox addresses cross-border coordination and cooperation with regard to energy and climate-related ("E&C") measures and strategies. Existing methods and instruments (“tools”) relating to this are networked for use in regional, public organizations.
In the project, E&C methods and instruments for development, planning, implementation and monitoring in the areas of housing, economy and mobility (e.g., SEAP, SECAP, Energiekataster, Energieausweis, Energiebilanzen, Ökoprofitanalysen, etc.) are researched, which are used in the project region "24CityCooperation" and selected EU regions. These are analyzed with regard to cross-border use and put into practice in the model cities of Weiz (A) and Lenti (HU).
Overarching objective:
Cross-border climate protection in cities of the 24CC region through modular, flexible application of energy and climate protection instruments / methods (E&C toolbox) within the sphere of influence of the municipal administration. 1 selected EC model city each in AT and HU demonstrate the use of this EC toolbox and thus encourage 4 other cities in the 24CC region in ATHU to implement it.
Main results of the project:
- Recommendations for action for the use of E&C tools
- Model of cross-border cooperation with regard to a bilateral energy and climate strategy
- Increase in the intensity of cooperation in the border region
The innovation consists in the synergetic connection of existing knowledge to practical applications for cities, businesses and the population in order to achieve the goals of the European Green Deal.
